Nothing short of defeat will put the GOP back on... →
I tend to agree. However, I see it as risky gamble.  There is the not-too-unlikely chance that this strategy will backfire. Perhaps the GOP will think the democrats are on the right path and try to out-left the left. Best case scenario is a legislative gridlock, but that’s looking less and less likely as we near the election.
