One deal at a time
If you haven’t heard, backcountry.com has a bunch of “one deal at a time” sites, namely whiskeymilitia (skateboarding), brociety (snowboarding), steepandcheap (outdoor), tramdock (skiing), chainlove (mountain biking) and bonktown (road biking). I think that’s all of them.
I try not to keep up too much as it makes me very poor, very quickly. But, as I’m working on a little self control lately, I’ve been looking for ways to keep up.
They have firefox extensions, but you really can’t fit more than three of the notifiers in the lower bar without getting truncated. Plus, I’m a Chrome loving fool lately. And the new Safari 4 is amazing, which is notable because I’ve always hated Safari. Firefox is slowly falling out of favor.
MacSAC (Mac only) is pretty slick. I only wish there was a cross platform version. Seems like Adobe Air would be a no brainer. The same dudes also make ODAT Tracker, an iPhone app. Sits nicely next to my WootON! app. The only problem is the iPhone isn’t the best platform because they don’t allow background processes. Maybe the push notifications in 3.0 will change that.
Any other apps I should know about for tracking these things?
